A Czernowitzer Nobleman in... (Sibiu - 2196 km)

(Sibiu, 25.06.2012 - 28.06.2012) No, not me, but George Baron Löwendal, one of the most prominent artists and scene painters of Czernowitz during the interwar period, presented by the famous Brukenthal National Museum in Sibiu.

Focussed on Czernowitz-related documents, stored by the Romanian National Archives, the discovery of the Löwendal Exhibition was a "collateral benefit", but there are much more parallels between Czernowitz and Sibiu.

Anyhow, this is the original key to the Sibiu subsidiary of the Romanian National Archives (first dedicated archives building in Europe) and to significant documents. I'm going to report on my findings upon my return home.
